Proverbs 9-12

Proverbs 9-12 continues filling us with Godly wisdom.

The wise person doesn't know it all.  The wise person is intentional about knowing God really well.

These sayings are full of good direction and advice for our lives.  They are reminders of important moral truths.

Which words speak to you, right now?

This particular verse is very applicable to me and my day ahead...

The words of the reckless pierce like swords,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Words are so powerful.  To think that they can be healing for people, on so many levels, really makes me think before speaking (and writing).

A prayer for today-

Dear God,

Thank You for Your wisdom and Your thoughts that are so much higher than my own.  Thank You for Your Living Word that reaches people and gives hope and life.

Forgive me for all the ways I am too careless with my words.  Make me more patient, Lord.

I pray You will keep using my words to reach people for You and bring Your love and healing to those who need it the most.

I pray for _______________ today.  May he/she/they be full of Your Holy Spirit.  Fill his/her/their hearts and mouth(s) with the Your words.

In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen

In Christ's love,
