About Me

Worn-in flip flops, sand between my toes, the sounds of my kids laughing, the warmth of family, books so good you can't put them down, music that makes you dance, and the smell of fresh salt air...some of my favorite things in life.

I have a BA in education and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (that I'm not currently using as I had anticipated).  Instead, I am continuing my education from home as my three boys teach me a thing or two about life and its true purposes.  And occasionally, I write about it.  I have taught preschool, kindergarten, and first grade and love learning some of life's most important lessons from kids.  My husband and I have been married thirteen years, and I'd marry him all over again if I had the chance.

I am a normal person who gets lost, makes mistakes, suffers, and is far from perfect, and I am so thankful for the mercy and grace I so desperately need from my Heavenly Father.  Because of His great big love for us, there's always more to the story, nestled behind the story waiting to be told-- connecting us to each other, offering us hope, inspiring us  and empowering us along the way.

I pray this blog will bless you in some way!
