Ephesians 2-6!

Oh my gosh!  I love so many of the scriptures in Ephesians 2-6.  I found myself highlighting more words than not.  I think it's because Ephesians is all about how to live life God's way.  Day to day life, struggles, your marriage, your family, raising your kids, being a good person…all these things are covered.  This book tells us what we need know and what we need to pray to realize the full potential of our faith.  


Why faith?  Why live in faith?  Why nurture it?  Why believe in something we can't see?  Why listen to a voice the world can't hear?  Why follow the steps of a Spirit who leads us right through the unknown?


Because.  Because we desperately need and want to be filled with all the true love and power God has to offer, through Our Savior, Jesus.

I wonder, sometimes in all my weaknesses, if I really have what it takes to be faithful.

And despite how I may feel at any given moment, God tells me I most certainly do- have what it takes.  Because I believe, He blesses me that way.

Do you believe?  If so, you have it too- what it takes.  

God, the source of our life, is also our number one resource for a joyful and fulfilling life.


14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

God power.  We really need it, and it's at our fingertips.  All we have to do is pray for it.  Faith changes everything.    

A prayer for today (and every time you need God's power)-

Dear God,

Thank you for Your promises and Your Word.  I pray that out of Your glorious riches You will strengthen me with power through Your Holy Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith.  

And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all Your People, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love of Yours that surpasses knowledge- that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of You, God.

In the name of Jesus I pray,
Amen
