Matthew 23-24

In Matthew 23-24, Jesus is warning against hypocrisy and the end of times when the Messiah will come to save His faithful.  As I was reading, I couldn't help but think to myself, "God, I sure hope I get to be with You when it's all said and done."  And that thought brings me to thinking about what I need to do to make sure I get there.

On the one hand, I have to keep reminding myself that because of God's love and mercy, I am saved by His grace, not my own good deeds.  I can't store up enough good to get me where I want to go.  On the other hand, I know there is a narrow path to Jesus and not everyone will find the way.  Jesus is my guide, my instructor, my teacher.  He tells us,

12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
