John 8:1-30

40 Days of John

Day 13: John 8:1-30

Jesus is in the temple courts teaching more about who He is.  While many believe Him, the tension rises for others who struggle to hear and understand His words.

Jesus wants us to believe who He is, God's one and only son, our Savior, the Messiah, God with us.  He keeps telling people the truth in so many ways in today's reading, and I feel like He teaches us in much the same way.

Jesus shows up in our lives telling us the truth in so many ways.  Jesus and He shows who He is again and again.

He promises us,

"I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

A prayer for today-

Dear God,

Thank You for Jesus who is the light of the world and the light of our lives.

Help me to follow You, Lord.  Keep showing me Your way.  I know I get side-tracked and confused at times, but I also know You are with me always.

I pray for You to fill me and sustain me with the light of life that only You can give.

I also pray for Your light to shine upon _______________________.

You are my Rock and my Redeemer.

In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen

Blessings,
